As its name indicates, the Research and Fiscal Information Department publishes key financial reports that enable elected officials, legislative and executive branch staff, interest groups, media, and the public to monitor and analyze state finances. The Department also serves as an internal research arm of the Comptroller's Office, tracking the State's financial health and undertaking research on topics of current financial interest.
